Votive Shrines Itinerary – Feast of Saint Rosalia 2026 On the occasion of the Feast of Saint Rosalia 2026, the Cathedral of Palermo is promoting the cultural and spiritual itinerary “The Way of Rosalia,” a guided tour to discover the votive shrines dedicated to the saint and the places that preserve the memory of the city’s patron saint. The Way of Rosalia is offered by the Diocesan Caritas of Palermo in collaboration with the La Panormitana Social Cooperative. Itinerario delle Edicole Votive – Festino di Santa Rosalia 2026 In occasione del Festino di Santa Rosalia 2026, la Cattedrale di Palermo promuove l’itinerario culturale e spirituale “La Via di Rosalia”, un percorso guidato alla scoperta delle edicole votive dedicate alla Santuzza e dei luoghi che custodiscono la memoria della patrona della città. Area monumentale

E’ data da ambienti della Cattedrale riconducibili soprattutto al tempo dei normanni (vi si accede con il pagamento di un ticket) ne fanno parte: Pozzo della Maddalena Tesoro della Cattedrale dove insieme ai preziosi arredi liturgici sono custoditi la Corona imperiale trovata nella tomba di Costanza D’Aragona insieme a degli anelli, fregi del manto di Federico II. Cripta dove sono custodite le tombe degli Arcivescovi di Palermo tra cui quella di Gualtiero Offamilio a cui si deve la costruzione dell’attuale tempio, modificato da Ferdinando Fuga alla fine del XVIII sec.
