From the Gospel according to Mark (Mk 1,12-15)

At that time, the Spirit pushed Jesus into the desert and he remained in the desert for forty days, tempted by Satan. He was with the wild beasts and the angels served him.
After John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and said: «The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; convert and believe in the Gospel.”
