Sunday 10 September 2023 – XXIII of Ordinary Time
+ From the Gospel according to Luke (18, 15 – 20)
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples:
“If your brother commits an offense against you, go and admonish him between you and him alone; if he listens to you, you will win your brother; if he won’t listen, take one or two people with you again, so that everything will be settled on the word of two or three witnesses. If then he won’t listen to them, tell the community; and if he won’t even listen to the community, let him be like the pagan and the publican for you.
I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Truly I say to you again: if two of you on earth agree to ask for anything, my Father who is in heaven will give it to them. Because where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in their midst.”
Word of the Lord.
