Appointments on Monday 10 July – 399th Feast of S. Rosalia

11.00 am: The Archbishop opens the doors of his house – Fraternity meeting with the representatives of the religions at the Archbishop’s Palace.
17.00: Concert of the bells of the Cathedral.
5.15 pm: Offering of the wax at the Santuzza with the participation of the Archbishop, the Mayor, the Confraternities and the faithful. Route of the procession: Piazza Pretoria, Quattro Canti, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the Cathedral.
18.00: Holy Mass presided over by H.E. Mons. Corrado Lorefice, Archbishop of Palermo. Following solemn rite of release of the silver urn of the Saint from the Chapel and opening of the Jubilee Year in honor of Santa Rosalia in the presence of the Mayor. The Cathedral and the Sanctuary of Montepellegrino will become places to which the plenary indulgence is attached.
The celebration is animated by the Cathedral choir and the San Sebastiano choir of the Municipal Police.

9.00 pm: Holy Mass presided over by Mons. Filippo Sarullo in Piazza Monte di Pietà at the first votive shrine dedicated to Santuzza after the miracle of liberation from the plague.

The Cathedral remains open for the personal veneration of the relics of Santa Rosalia until 11.00 pm.
