Evening visits to the Cathedral and the Diocesan Museum: two special evenings of art, history, and panoramic views of Palermo

On Saturday, July 18th and 25th, the Palermo Cathedral and the Diocesan Museum will exceptionally open their doors in the evening to offer visitors an evocative experience exploring some of the monumental complex’s most fascinating sites.

From 8:00 PM until midnight (last admission at 11:30 PM), visitors can experience the Cathedral’s beauty in a different light, strolling through history, art, and spirituality until reaching its spectacular rooftops, where they can admire Palermo illuminated in one of the city’s most breathtaking panoramas.

The tour includes a visit to the Cathedral Treasury, which houses the precious Crown of Constance of Aragon, the Archbishops’ Crypt, the Royal Tombs, the evocative Magdalene Well, the Apses, and the historic Church of Santa Cristina la Vetere.

The itinerary continues at the Diocesan Museum of Palermo, which houses 27 exhibition rooms with approximately 300 works, including paintings, sculptures, silverware, sacred vestments, and decorative arts, in a journey spanning over seven centuries of artistic history, from the 12th to the 19th century.

Tickets can be purchased directly at the ticket office or online. Tickets purchased online have no expiration date and no reservation is required, allowing visitors to freely organize their visit.
