+ From the Gospel according to Luke (17:5-10)

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
The Lord replied, “If you had faith as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’? Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and gird yourself and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you may eat and drink’? Will he be grateful to that servant because he did what he was told?
So you too, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.'”
