+ From the Gospel according to Matthew 24,37-44)

At that time, Jesus said to his disciples:
“As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of man. For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away: so also will be the coming of the Son of man. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken away and the other left. Two women will grind at the millstone: one will be taken away and the other left.
Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. Try to understand this: if the landlord knew at what time of the night the thief came, he would stay awake and not let his house be broken into. Therefore you too be ready because, in an hour that you do not imagine, the Son of man comes”.
