Sunday 9 October 2022 – XXVIII in Ordinary Time
+ From the Gospel according to Luke (17, 11 – 19)
On the way to Jerusalem, Jesus passed through Samaria and Galilee.
As he entered a village, ten lepers met him, stopped at a distance and said aloud: “Jesus, teacher, have mercy on us!” As soon as he saw them, Jesus said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were purified.
One of them, seeing himself healed, went back praising God with a loud voice, and prostrated himself before Jesus, at his feet, to thank him. He was a Samaritan.
But Jesus observed: “Were not ten cleansed?” And where are the other nine? Was no one found who came back to give glory to God, except this foreigner? “. And he said to him: “Get up and go; your faith has saved you! ».
Word of the Lord.
