Sunday November 14, 2021 – XXXIII of Ordinary Time

“The Son of man will gather his elect from the four winds.”

From the Gospel according to Mark (13, 24 – 32)

At that time, Jesus said to his disciples:
“In those days, after that tribulation,
the sun will darken,
the moon will no longer give its light,
the stars will fall from the sky
and the powers that are in the heavens will be upset.
Then they will see the Son of man coming on clouds with great power and glory. He will send the angels and gather his chosen ones from the four winds, from the extremity of the earth to the extremity of heaven.
Learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch becomes tender and leaves appear, you know that summer is near. So too: when you see these things happening, know that he is near, he is at the door.
In truth I tell you: this generation will not pass before all this happens. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass.
But as to that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, except the Father “.
