Jn 6: 24-35
Whoever comes to me will not be hungry and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty!
At that time, when the crowd saw that Jesus was no longer there and neither did his disciples, he got into the boats and headed for Capernaum in search of Jesus. They found him on the other side of the sea and said to him: “Rabbi, when you are come here? ». Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I tell you, you are looking for me not because you have seen signs, but because you ate those loaves and were satisfied. Get busy not for the food that does not last, but for the food that remains for eternal life and that the Son of man will give you. Because on him the Father, God, has put the seal of him ». Then they said to him, “What must we do to do the works of God?” Jesus answered them: “This is the work of God: believe in him whom he has sent.” Then they said to him, “What sign do you perform so that we see and believe you?” What work do you do? Our fathers ate manna in the desert, as it is written: “He gave them bread from heaven to eat” ». Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I tell you, it is not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. In fact, the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world ”. Then they said to him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” Jesus answered them: “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will not be hungry and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty! ».
