SATURDAY 17 JULY EVENING VISIT OF THE MONUMENTAL COMPLEX OF THE CATHEDRAL AND OF THE DIOCESAN MUSEUM

Next Saturday from 20.00 to 00.00 (last admission 23.30) it will be possible to make the evening visit of the Monumental Complex of the Cathedral and the Diocesan Museum Palermo reopened to visitors last Saturday.
The Monumental Complex includes Roofs, Royal Tombs, Crypt, Apses, Treasury, Undergrounds and the newly opened Chapel of the Beneficiaries.
The visit of the roofs allows you to admire the city of Palermo from above with its landscape and monumental riches, and to discover the artistic and architectural elements of the external walls of the Cathedral.
In the monumental area you can visit: the treasure with the crown of Constance of Aragon, wife of Frederick II; the crypt, where the tombs of the Archbishops of Palermo are kept; the royal tombs in which the mortal remains of the emperors Frederick II, of the parents Henry VI and Costanza D’Altavilla, of his wife Costanza D’Aragona and of his grandfather Ruggero II, founder of the Kingdom of Sicily, are kept; the basement and the newly opened Chapel of the Beneficiaries.
On Saturday it will also be possible to visit the Diocesan Museum of Palermo, at the Archbishop’s Palace, adjacent to the Cathedral.
Tickets can be purchased on the day of the visit at the Cathedral ticket office, or online on the website https://www.ticket-shop-cattedraledipalermo.it.
Tickets purchased online can be used on any opening day of the Monumental Area, they do not expire until they are used.
NO RESERVATION IS REQUIRED FOR THE VISIT
It is not allowed for heart patients, those suffering from claustrophobia, dizziness, psychophysical disabilities and anxiety attacks; in addition, comfortable shoes are recommended.
In case of bad weather conditions, the visit will be postponed.
